Prisma

Our story

Acollectivethatargueswell.

No studio building, no reception desk, no house style. What holds Prisma together is a shared refusal to ship a frame nobody is happy with.

  1. 01

    Three rooms, one cut

Prisma started as a shared drive between a colourist in Berlin, an editor in Lisbon and a director who kept missing both their calls. The work got better when we stopped pretending we were in the same timezone and built around the handoff instead.

  2. 02

    Frame before deadline

We take fewer commissions than we could. The ones we take get the grade they need, which is usually one more pass than the schedule allowed for. Clients who have worked with us twice know to build that pass into the budget.

  3. 03

    Nobody owns the brief

A board is a conversation, not a contract. The collective argues in the margins of the storyboard and the argument is the point — it is cheaper to change your mind on paper than on a location day.

Practice

We work in small crews — a director, a shooter, someone on sound, and whoever the piece actually needs. Post happens in the same rooms that shot it.

Everything is graded to a reference frame agreed before the first location day, so the look is a decision, not a rescue.
