Made with no client and no deadline, which is the only reason it is twenty-two minutes long instead of eight.
The rule
The camera is locked unless a character is on their feet. Once we committed to it, blocking became the entire directing job — every emotional beat had to be expressed as somebody deciding whether to stand.
